Academic Coach

Part-time (20-25 hours per week)

Position description:

 

The academic coach provides support to students and monitors student progress throughout the school day in our Montgomery facility.

​

Responsibilities:

  • Greet students and complete check-in process

  • Monitor student engagement and progress throughout the school day using instructional management software and individual meetings

  • Remove barriers for students by collaboratively problem-solving, creating plans and checklists, etc.

  • Model a growth-mindset

  • Complete trainings on mindfulness techniques and social-emotional learning

  • Communicate with parents regularly and gather feedback to ensure student success

  • Follow-up with inquiries 

  • Follow all required safety guidelines and model safe practices for students 

  • Other duties as assigned

 

 

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in education, psychology, social work, or related field

  • Strong problem-solving and technology skills (knowledge of G-suites a plus)

  • Professional communication skills in written and verbal form
